Laurel House Surgery (LHS) has been a part of the local community since 1910. The surgery has undergone many changes over the years and is now home to 3 male and 4 female doctors. We also have an advanced nurse practitioner, a paramedic, 2 in-house pharmacists and 3 physician associates. Our nursing team consists of 4 nurses, 2 HCA ‘s and 1 phlebotomist.
Laurel House is proud to be a training practice, helping develop junior doctors into the GPs of tomorrow. These are highly qualified and competent doctors who have made the decision to pursue a career in general practice. Our trainees are always supported by one of the senior GPs at the practice to ensure that we maintain our high standards.
At Laurel House Surgery, our values shape every interaction and decision we make. We pride ourselves on adaptability, ensuring we respond effectively to the changing needs of our patients and the wider healthcare environment. Through strong teamwork and collaboration, our multidisciplinary team works effortlessly to provide safe, coordinated, and high-quality care. We encourage initiative at every level, empowering our staff to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation that enhance our patients’ experience. Underpinning all of this is a deep commitment to delivering consistent, reliable care, alongside accountability and integrity in everything we do, taking responsibility for our actions and maintaining the highest professional standards.
Equally important is our dedication to empathy and equity. We strive to treat every patient with compassion, respect, and understanding, recognising the individuality of each person’s circumstances. We are committed to providing fair and inclusive care, ensuring that everyone has access to the support and treatment they need, regardless of background or situation. By embedding these values into our daily practice, we aim to create a welcoming, trustworthy environment where patients feel heard, valued, and cared for.
