For Acute or genuine urgent problems you may be offered an appointment or a telephone consultation with a Nurse Practitioner rather than a doctor. Nurse Practitioners are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly.

All of our Doctors & Nurses are working as hard as they can to provide a safe quality of service, sometimes under extreme pressure. We constantly review the appointment service to cope with current demand.
Our reception team are here to help you get the right service for your needs. Please do not be offended if they ask you what the problem is when you ask for an URGENT appointment.

This is to ensure you are directed to the most appropriate clinician as soon as possible.

Please use your appointment wisely.

The surgery offers an urgent sit and wait clinic for patients who are unable to wait until the next routine GP appointment. The morning clinic runs 9:00 am - 11 am (this may be extended to 12 due to demand). Our afternoon urgent clinic is booked in order and can not be pre-booked. Please understand this clinic is for urgent appointments only. For more information please see our Same Day Urgent Appointments page here.
